NBA players are used to being yelled at and heckled by fans in the opposing arenas, and sometimes, if they aren't playing well by their contingent.
New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson recently found out that chiding can come from his own family.
Brunson was a participant in the three-point shooting contest during NBA All-Star weekend.
He recounted a story on the “Roommates Show” podcast, Knicks teammate Josh Hart, that during the contest, someone behind the bench had a few choice words for him.
“Some bald guy behind the bench … I heard ‘Ayo, you (expletive) bum!'” Brunson said. “I said, ‘Who just said that?’ My dad.”

Brunson was eliminated in the first round of the contest, which Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard ended up winning for the second straight year.
“He was like, ‘Yeah, with that bonus, we could have finished my basement,'” Brunson said his father Rick, who is currently a Knicks assistant, shouted from the bench.
The younger Brunson was named to his first All-Star game this season. He is averaging 27.5 points, 6.6 assists and 3.8 rebounds for New York, who are currently in fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
