Tiger Woods has a new partnership.
Woods announced Monday that he has partnered with TaylorMade Golf to launch a lifestyle brand that will be called "Sun Day Red."
"It started with a passion. The passion of competing. Of competing against ourselves. The field. The course. Life. Out of that passion, @SunDayRed rises,” Woods said Monday on X.
The new partnership with TaylorMade Golf, comes after Woods and Nike ended a 27-year endorsement deal in January. Woods started his professional golf career with Nike. He had been with the company since 1996.
Woods previously had a deal with TaylorMade Golf for golf clubs. Nike had stopped manufacturing clubs and golf balls in 2016. He’ll now sport TaylorMade Golf apparel and footwear as part of the new pact.
"I have learned so much over the years and have a lifetime of experience adjusting my apparel and footwear to help me play better based on the way it was constructed. There are things that I could tell you that no one knew I was doing over the years," Woods said in a statement on the Sun Day Red official website. "I'm ready to share those secrets with the world. Sun Day Red will embody a love of playing and competing, and we are for people that share those values, whether it's on the course, or in life. We will be anchored to putting the athlete first in the product decisions we make."
Sun Day Red is set to launch on May 1, 2024.
The Woods, Sun Day Red announcement comes three days before the star golfer gets ready to make his 2024 debut in the Genesis Invitational at Riviera.
Woods has won 15 career major championships. The 48-year-old Woods is widely regarded as one of the best golfers of all time.
