As the NBA playoffs progress, it's becoming even more of a challenge for teams to avoid the injury bug. This season, that also includes the head coaches.
Just two days after Minnesota Timberwolves coach Chris Finch suffered a ruptured patellar tendon in a collision with one of his own players, Nick Nurse of the Philadelphia 76ers apparently injured his hand when he slammed it in frustration over a referee's call during Tuesday's game against the New York Knicks.
According to a report from SNY, Nurse injured his finger to the point where he "couldn't draw plays up in the second half because he couldn't grip a marker."
According to the report, it's unclear if Nurse broke his finger or merely sprained it.
The Sixers rallied behind their injured coach to force Game 6 in the series with a thrilling 112-106 overtime win over the Knicks on Tuesday.
All things Sixers: Latest Philadelphia 76ers news, schedule, roster, stats, injury updates and more.
New York still leads the series 3-2, with Game 6 set for Thursday in Philadelphia.
