Soleil Moon Frye is mourning the death of ex-boyfriend Shifty Shellshock of the rap-rock band Crazy Town.
"My heart is whispering a million I love you's for the way you loved my children and I so unconditionally," the actress wrote on Instagram Sunday along with a carousel of photos from their relationship. One picture included the late singer with Frye's children as they decorated a Christmas tree.
Shellshock, born Seth Binzer, died at a Los Angeles residence on June 24, according to Los Angeles Medical Examiner records. He was 49. A cause of death is unknown at this time.
Frye, who had first been romantically linked to Binzer in late 2021, continued in her tribute, writing, "I can still see your smiling sweet face in middle school when you kissed me in your tunnel of love and the way you swept me away again as we grew up to show me what that timeless kind of love feels like. No words could ever express the love we shared or how we are feeling right now. It is a language all its own."
"So for now I will use every bit of strength you showed me to hold on to those words you asked me in your beautiful morning gravilly (sic) voice on the beach while covering me with kisses. 'to the people we have lost we will see them again down the road, right?' I believe we will Seth," she continued.

The "Punky Brewster" star concluded, "and when we do, the most charming bad ass tattoed angel in mismatched shoes, who taught me how to drink up life again will be standing there with the biggest smile. I will instantly see your moon on fire cheek welcoming your family, friends, fans and loved ones under loving double rainbow arches… I love you forever and always. Your Moonfire."
It's unclear when Frye and Shellshock split, but in November 2022, she told Entertainment Tonight, "I'm dating myself. It's awesome."
Frye's tribute comes after Shellshock's family gave a statement to The Sun published Saturday.
"Seth struggled with addiction throughout his life. He did so on a very public platform, which was particularly challenging," the family said. "God knows he tried so hard to beat his demons but sadly he lost his battle."
They added: "Our hearts are shattered by his loss. Seth's larger-than-life presence touched so many. Seth was a troubled soul, but he was a beautiful one and he had a heart of gold."
Obit:Shifty Shellshock, Crazy Town frontman and 'Butterfly' singer, dies at 49
Crazy Town was known for the 1999 single "Butterfly," which reached No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2001. Their debut album, 1999's "The Gift of Game," sold 1.6 million units. The band broke up in 2003 after declining success in subsequent music projects.
In addition to Shellshock, the band had more than a dozen current and former members, including co-founder Bret "Epic" Mazur, DJ Rick One, Mark White, Adam "DJ Adam 12" Bravin, Charles "Rust Epique" Lopez and the late Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein.
Binzer appeared on the VH1 reality television series "Celebrity Rehab" Season 1 for cocaine addiction in 2008 and returned in Season 2 after producer and star Dr. Drew Pinsky learned of his relapse. The singer also appeared on the short-lived spin-off "Celebrity Rehab Presents Sober House" Season 1 in 2009 and Season 2 in 2010.
